Description
Choose this option if you have three or more names and would like me to validate them from a Sanskrit perspective quickly. The charges for this option are ₹ 1,200 for three names (minimum) and ₹ 400 per extra name (₹ 1,600 for four names, ₹ 2,000 for five names, etc.). The comments will be in English or Hindi. They will include the validation of the word in Sanskrit, confirmation of gender (masculine, feminine, or neuter), major meanings, whether the word is the name of a person or deity, and a recommendation.
Two quick name validation examples are shown below:
Sanvi/Saanvi
Not a known Sanskrit word or name to the best of my knowledge. There are eight possible options: ‘sanvi’ (सन्वि), ‘sanvī’ (सन्वी), ‘sānvi’ (सान्वि), ‘sānvī’ (सान्वी), ‘sanavi’ (सनवि), ‘sanavī’ (सनवी), ‘sānavi’ (सानवि), and ‘sānavī’ (सानवी). None of the possible options is listed in any major Sanskrit dictionary. None of the possible options is found in any sahasranāma, nāmastotra or elsewhere in my collection of more than 2,00,000 Sanskrit names.
Recommendation: If you want a known Sanskrit name, avoid Sanvi/Saanvi. Instead, you may use Sanmayi (sanmayī, सन्मयी) for a girl.
Ishan/Eeshan (īśāna, ईशान)
Known masculine Sanskrit word and name. Means the following as per the Apte Practical Sanskrit-English Dictionary: (1) “owning, possessing, master, lord” (2) “reigning, ruling” (3) “wealthy, rich” (4) “a ruler, a master, a lord” (5) “name of Śiva” (6) “the Ārdrā Nakṣtra” (7) “One of the Rudras (8) “the number eleven” (9) “the sun as a form of Śiva” (10) “a Sādhya” (11) “name of Viṣṇu” (12) “the silk cotton tree (13) “light, splendour (or radiant, lustrous). Name found in many sahasranāmas, including the Śiva-sahasranāma and the Viṣṇu-sahasranāma in the Mahābhārata’s Anuśāsanaparvan.
Recommendation: Ishan/Eeshan (īśāna, ईशान) is highly recommended for a boy.
